BIOGRAPHY:

Emanuela Battigelli was born in Gemona del Friuli (Italy) in 1980.
Her solo and chamber music carrier has led her to perform at Festival d’Aix en Provence, Verbier Festival and Biennale of Contemporary Music in Jerusalem, and Concertos for harp and orchestra together with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI (2015 Ravenna Festival, Toccata by Pietro Domenico Paradisi), Tirgu Mures State Philharmonic Orchestra (October 2013, Concerto n. 1 by Ami Maayani, receiving enthusiastic words of praise from the composer), Orchestra Filarmonia Veneta “Luigi Malipiero” (world premiere of La terra di Agreo by composer Marco Maria Tosolini), Israel Chamber Orchestra (Georg Friedrich Haendel Concerto en Si bemol) and Orquestra Classica da Madeira (Claude Debussy Danse Sacre and Danse Profane).
Among her variated performances she has been protagonist in audio and video broadcasts for RAI, Telecapodistria, Israeli radio and television and Arte.
In year 2013 she performed for Radio RAI the world premiere of original pieces for harp by Germaine Tailleferre.
In 2014 label Artesuono released the digital album Tailleferre – Britten – Hosokawa which includes the world first recording of Germaine Tailleferre’s works and Toshio Hosokawa’s Two Japanese folk songs for harp.
She has had the privilege to collaborate as a member of some of the world’s leading orchestras such as Berliner Philharmoniker, London Philharmonia and Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala, under the baton of conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Simon Rattle and Kirill Petrenko.
Since year 2015 she is collaborating with the Ensemble Prometeo, Italian excellence in the field of contemporary music, with the direction of Marco Angius.
